Increase community awareness and support for our excellent
local public schools

Increase community awareness of societal issues that impact
children's ability to learn

Encourage coalitions and teamwork among members

Seek funding to support public education -
     Seek fair, predictable, equitable state funding for public schools
     Work for continued inclusion of public school districts
               in distribution of Monroe County sales tax revenues
     Raise issues that impact public schools, such as the priority
               of education or the funding of charter schools
     Insist on the funding needed to support required education reforms,
               e.g., NYS Standards, smaller class size, academic
               intervention services (AIS)
